Project Summary:

1. Nancy Bundt is a professional photographer based in both the United States and Norway who needed an online portfolio that would give potential clients and buyers access to her work and relevant information.

2. Larsen's measurement for success was to develop a site that showcased Nancy's photography in a creative way that didn't overshadow the beauty of her work.

3. The target audience for this site includes art directors, designers, marketing professionals, and anyone else who would be interested in hiring Nancy or buying her photography.

4. Visitors to Nancy's site should first see her photography—we wanted it to be the most prominent element of the site, and were careful to create a design that complemented her work, and didn't overwhelm it. Users should also find easy access to general information about Nancy, including experience and contact information.

5. There were a few constraints to this project, the first being a limited budget. The second was Nancy's distance -- throughout the course of the project, she was either in Norway or traveling on assignment. There was also the challenge of converting all of Nancy's photographs from print to the Web.

6. We began by meeting with Nancy to outline needs and pinpoint goals. Visual explorations took place, followed by the selection of photographs for the site. Production included scanning, cropping and
color adjustments of each photograph for transition to the Web during the development phase.

7. Nancy has received numerous compliments on the design of the site, and in the few months it has been live, she received an unsolicited job based on the client's visit to her site. She believes it has been easier to get work from potential clients, as they feel familiar with her work and confident in her abilities after visiting the site.
