Project Summary:
A gift of cheer for clients, friends and family. The Holiday Greeting delivered a moment of peace amidst the chaos of the modern world. Emerging from a collage of images designed to capture the hectic cacophony of modern life, is a moment of calm with the simple message of "peace". The concept serves as a reminder to look for moments of peace in our lives and suggests that from those times can come many riches.
1. What was the purpose of the project?
To send out an easily accessible greeting to express how much we value the relationships and friendships of our clients, friends and family.
2. What was your measurement for success?
General buzz, direct feedback and industry recognition.
3. Who are the target user(s)?
Clients, vendors, friends and family of Duffy & Partners.
4. What is the desired user experience for each?
To remember what the holiday season is suppose to represent, a time for friends and family. The Holiday Greeting is a reminder to take time out of your busy schedule and have a moment of peace to remember what is truly important in your life.
5. What were the project parameters or constraints you were working
within?
Taking a concept that was originally designed as a wine bottle and turn it into a piece that would show the importance of bringing a peaceful moment into modern life.
6. What process and/or methodologies did your team use during the project?
The opportunity here was to go from a 3Dimensional, static media to a dynamic, multi-sensory delivery. As with all of our design work, we engage talent and resources beyond just the traditional graphic designer and work with people who can bring sound and movement to our efforts.
7. What have the results/response been to date?
Feedback from people in all segments of the target was overwhelmingly positive, regarding not only the greeting but also its appropriateness for the times. The design of this effort has been recognized by the Type Directors Club as well as the One Club.
