Project Summary:
The Minnesota Vikings asked Atomic Playpen (AP) to design a site that upon launch would be considered the clear leader among all the NFL team websites. The new Vikings.com website represents a new standard for professional sports franchise websites. The site features an optimal blend of traditional html and modern FLASH technology. The content manageable website includes a Flash media window on the homepage and secondary pages. This enables users to drill into site content without having to leave the homepage. Content Management allows the Vikings to manage banner ads, player content, the team schedule and game day information in-house. Feedback on the new design from the Vikings fan base has been overwhelming - jumping from 30 Million page views per month in 2004 to over 90 Million page views per month in 2005!

AP services included: online strategy, branding, user profiling, information architecture, user interface design, technical production, content management, and Web hosting.

Team:
Creative Director: Mike Kretsinger
Designer: Mike Kretsinger, Bob Dombrowski, Dave Chamberlain, Natalia Berglund
