Project Summary:

VO2 created a website for Summit Brewing Company that reflects the unique personality and history of a hometown-proud craft brewery that has become a favorite across the midwest. Extending the ongoing "Summit Good Will Beer Tour" campaign, the website brings consumers along as Summit visits world beer meccas, adding creditability and validating the world-class quality of their beers.

1. What was the purpose of the project?

To establish an internet presence to increase brand and product awareness as Summit is expanding into new markets outside of the Twin Cities metro area.

2. What was your measurement for success?

Creating a website that refl ects Summit's unique brand personality, engages users and delivers a memorable and appropriate online experience.

3. Who are the target user(s)?

Summit’s broad target audience includes beer lovers and enthusiasts who appreciate quality craft-brewed beers. They identify with their local brewery and are interested in staying informed and learning more about their favorite beers.

4. What is the desired user experience for each?

Entertainment was a key factor in developing the site content and designing the visual style of the website. A fun, engaging and playful presentation of content encourages visitors to explore the website and learn more about Summit's history, brewing process and
products.

5. What were the project parameters or constraints you were working within?

The constraint of working without a photography or illustration budget ultimately allowed us to create more appropriate design solutions by integrating and repurposing existing assets.

6. What process and/or methodologies did your team use during the project?

Client interviews were conducted as part of the initial defi nition phase to identify project needs and build consensus among key decision makers.

7. What have the results/response been to date?

Traffic to the Summit website is increasing steadily and visitors continue subscribing to the email list to keep up on current news, events and other promotions.
